Video & Pics: Munster V Ospreys

Video highlights and action shots from yesterday’s narrow Guinness PRO12 defeat to Ospreys at Irish Independent Park in Cork. The game saw Duncan Williams, Francis Saili (his first competitive score) and Robin Copeland cross for tries with Ian Keatley adding one conversion.

Following the 17-21 loss, Munster remain 6th on the PRO12 table on 37 points, 8 points adrift of table toppers Ulster but with one game in hand.

Speaking after last night’s game, a disappointed Head Coach Anthony Foley said, “It is very frustrating. Obviously you get to 17-10 ahead – even leading 12-10 at half-time having played into a stiff breeze – I thought the boys had played really well.

“You hope maybe we will kick on and maybe get another try. Then you end up with one point rather than five points. That is the way the game flowed.

”It was about making sure we got a grip of the game and we never seemed to grasp it. There was one or two occasions where we lost control of the ball and didn’t execute what we were aiming to do.

“Everybody ahead of us won this weekend, Connacht, Ulster and Leinster winning so it was important we win tonight but instead we got one point out of the game. For me the position we had worked ourselves into, in patches of the game, I thought the boys played well and didn’t get what they deserved out of it.”

Munster now travel to Glasgow and Treviso this Friday and the following Sunday respectively before returning to Thomond Park to face Newport Gwent Dragons in Round 17 on Saturday, March 5th at 7:35pm.
