Video: PRO12 Profile – Robin Copeland
19th February 2016 By Munster Rugby
Back-row Robin Copeland is the only squad member to have played every game so far this season, making 19 appearances, 13 of which have been in the Guinness PRO12. Tonight the 28-year-old will make it 20 appearances when he starts at number 8 against Glasgow Warriors – KO 7.35pm.
In previewing tonight’s game, hooker Niall Scannell said, “They are a very tough outfit and we know them well from Round 3 and from last year’s final in Belfast. Both games were extremely tough and this weekend will be no different. They are extremely physical and skilful and play with width through a great offloading game. We need to be ready to combat that and show them a little of what we have to offer.
“We need to take each game as it comes but we need to start getting wins and they don’t come easily. We need to up the performance from last weekend and continue to keep our performance levels up.”
Out-half Ian Keatley added, “Glasgow are a very good squad even if they are missing a number of their frontline internationals. They have good depth and are very well coached and driven. But in saying that we beat them earlier this season and we need to get a win this weekend to get our season back on track so that’s our main focus.”
