Both teams put in a great effort but CBC were dominant in the first half, however centre Jamin Hoffman led a great Crescent comeback in the second half.

Crescent had a great start with Jack Madden scoring a try in the corner in the first four minutes giving Crescent a lead of five points. Crescent continued to dominate the first quarter but were unable to add to their score.

Christians had an opportunity to get a few points of their own on the board when winger Karl Waterman managed to left the siege and get over Crescents line but it was held up. Luckily for CBC Conor O’Sullivan got in for a try from the resulting scrum which Billy Cain converted, leaving CBC with a two point lead which they maintained until half time.

In the second half Crescent's captain John Hurley narrowly missed a penalty but the side redeemed themselves when prop Ronan Gallery touched down and Hurley managed to convert and bring the score to 12-7 giving Crescent  5 point lead.

Crescent played a strong second half keeping their five point advantage until injury time when Ben Carew, who earned Crescent the replay, scored a try to ensure their win and give Crescent their seventh Munster Schools Junior Cup title.
