A hugely successful weekend for Irish rugby witnessed the Ireland U20s become the first Ireland men’s side to defeat New Zealand, doing so at the World Rugby U20 Championship, while the Irish senior side recorded their first win over the Springboks on South African soil in the first test of the Summer Series.

Ireland U20s’ comprehensive and deserved 24-33 win over New Zealand saw them score three tries and take charge of Pool A with their next game against Georgia on Wednesday at 5:30pm.

Meanwhile, the Irish senior side will look to make it two wins on the bounce over the Springboks this Saturday at 4pm after a spirited 14 man performance culminated in a 20-26 win in Cape Town.
