2016 Sponsors’ Golf Event

On Thursday last, Munster Rugby team management, staff and sponsors took advantage of the summer sun at the 2016 Munster Rugby Sponsors’ Golf Day at Killarney Golf Club.

The event saw seven teams tee off in a three person scramble with each player also competing in 'nearest the pin' and 'longest drive' competitions.

Munster Rugby hosted the outing to thank sponsors for their continued support of the province, with keen and novice golfers alike enjoying an afternoon of friendly competition on the 18 hole course.
 
Sponsors in attendance on the day included Bank of IrelandadidasLifestyle Sports, Diageoeir, Clayton Hotels, Ronan Daly Jermyn, Simply Suits, Coca Cola, Action Point, Trend MicroMunster Sports Travel and Deloitte, along with representatives from the Munster Rugby Commercial Board and Patrons Programme.
 
Prior to dinner, guest were treated to a drinks reception sponsored by Diageo with Coca Cola providing water and soft drinks.

Munster President Gerry O'Shea makes the presentation to the second placed team – Karl Dowling of Action Point, Philip Quinn of Munster Rugby and Conor Mullane of Simply Suits (not pictured).


Anthony Foley of Munster Rugby, Fionnuala MacCurtain of Munster Sports Travel and Pat Reddan of Clayton Hotels came in third.


Keith Murphy and Ian Fleming of Munster Rugby and Jonathan Grimes of Deloitte (not pictured) placed fourth.

Jonathan Grimes was also the winner of the nearest the pin competition.
