6 Munster Players Included For World U20 Final
24th June 2016 By Munster Rugby
The Ireland U20 side to face England in the World Rugby U20 Championship final in Manchester tomorrow evening has been named. Head Coach Nigel Carolan has retained the same 23 that defeated Argentina in the semi-final which includes six Munster representatives.
Munster’s Ben Betts, Sean O’Connor and Shane Daly will all start, while Vincent O’Brien, Evan Mintern and Kelvin Brown are again named amongst the replacements.
Speaking ahead of the final, Carolan said, “When this group of players came together for the 6 Nations earlier this year, they showed a willingness and a desire to learn and grow together as a group. They have put in the hard work on and off the field this season and their reward for that is tomorrow evening's final against England.
“All the players came through the game against Argentina on Monday and we have had a good few days of preparation so I think everyone is now just looking forward to getting the game underway tomorrow.”
Tomorrow's game will mark the first time an Irish U20 side has reached the final of the competition.
The match will be broadcast live on TG4 and Sky Sports 1 tomorrow evening and kicks off at 7pm.
