Books Of Condolence To Open For Anthony Foley
17th October 2016 By Munster Rugby
Books of condolence will open for Anthony Foley at Thomond Park and Irish Independent Park this morning.
Supporters are welcome to express their sympathies at main reception in the East Stand of Thomond Park and at reception in the Munster Rugby offices at Irish Independent Park, located at the Tramore Road entrance. Books of condolence are now open at Thomond Park and will open at Irish Independent Park at 11am.
In an effort to facilitate as many supporters as possible, the books will remain open until 8pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night.
With flags flying at half-mast in both stadia, fittingly supporters have turned the Blue Gate entrance alongside the Shannon clubhouse at Thomond Park into a shrine to the former Munster captain whose life in rugby was deep-rooted in Shannon and the club game (pictured below).
Additionally, books will open today at
- the IRFU offices at 10/12 Lansdowne Road, Dublin
- the Shannon clubhouse located at the west side of Thomond Park
- at seven local authorities in Munster – Clare County Council; Cork City Council; Cork County Council; Kerry County Council; Limerick City and County Council; Tipperary County Council; Waterford City and County Council
- online at limerick.ie
- at the Irish Embassy in London
- at the Connacht Rugby offices at the Sportsground on College Road, Galway
