Fans Out In Force For Foley

A full house will cheer on Munster against Glasgow Warriors and honour the memory of one of the province’s best loved sons, Anthony Foley, at Thomond Park today

This game is now sold out and tickets will not be available at the ground this morning.

Although always focused on the next competitive game, both as a player and coach, Foley’s mind was never far from club and underage efforts across the province. Only last Saturday morning he was in the thick of a captain's run in Irish Independent Park where he called on the Sunday's Well U10s to join the session.

That was Axel. As a player he was the ultimate Munster competitor, and as a coach he imparted his knowledge and values to the next generation.

In recognising Foley's contribution to rugby across the province, all clubs were offered free junior tickets this week while 2,000 tickets were released via the schools.

Once again we would encourage all Season Ticket holders unable to attend to please pass on their tickets.

A minute's silence will be observed prior to kick-off during which a special tribute to Anthony will take place in the West Stand. SUPPORTERS IN THE WEST STAND are asked to take their seats no later than 12:40pm in order to facilitate this.

Further details of today’s event can be found here.
