Half-Way Point In Pre-Season
2nd August 2017 By The Editor
We’re at the half-way point in preparations for the upcoming 2017-18 season, and as our internationals return, the focus begins to shift at the High Performance Centre.
After a well-earned break, our internationals began their pre-season training last week while the core training group enjoyed a mid pre-season break before recommencing their programme which now sees the early strength work balanced with power development.
The buzz has undoubtedly lifted, with Andrew Conway, Keith Earls, Rory Scannell, Simon Zebo, Dave Kilcoyne, Jack O’Donoghue, John Ryan and Niall Scannell back into the fold, and it will rest on these players to ensure the intensity is maintained.
Training continues to integrate more and more rugby elements, and detailed work ahead of the upcoming pre-season game against Worcester Warriors on Thursday Augsut 24th at the Sixways Stadium.
In our latest video we catch up with Strength & Conditioning Coach Adam Sheehan to get the latest training update.
