Matchday Information | Munster v Leinster

The latest ticket, travel and matchday information for the Guinness PRO14 clash between Munster and Leinster on St. Stephen’s Day in Thomond Park (3.15pm).

This game is now sold out. The Ticket Office will be open for queries on match day from 12.15pm.

Charity Match

This game is Munster Rugby’s designated “Charity Match”, and is one of the flagship events of the year for the province’s corporate social responsibility programme. €1 from each match programme sold today will be donated to the Irish Heart Foundation, and at half-time, Munster welcome Anne Riordan, Irish Heart Regional Manager for Munster onto the pitch for a presentation of a signed Munster jersey.

Munster Rugby 2018 Calendars on Sale

Make sure you are all set for the New Year, and pick up your Munster Rugby calendar, on sale for €10 at the match programme sales points outside the East and West Stands on the day.

Pre-Match & Half-Time

Limerick soprano Jean Wallace returns to Thomond Park and will perform with the MRSC Choir before the game. The Hit Machine drummers will also be counting down to kick off, and the MRSC Guard of Honour will be present to welcome the teams onto the pitch. Our half-time mini rugby display will feature Ballina-Killaloe RFC v Cork Constitution FC and Kilrush RFC v Galbally RFC.

Stadium Information

The MRSC Bar will open at 1.15pm. Please note that entry will be for Members Only due to capacity restrictions.

Open from 12 noon make the Guinness Fan Zone your pre-match meeting point. Soak up the atmosphere in the Guinness Dug Out Bar and Fan Zone Village and enjoy great food from a wide range of artisan vendors.

There will be lots of activity in the Fan Zone including the Bank of Ireland Family Funzone which will be open for our younger supporters. Keep an eye out for some of the Munster players who will visit at 2pm. Spin South West will be on location and our mascot Oscar is looking forward to meeting younger supporters! Plus they can put their rugby skills to the test in the ‘Tackle Cage Challenge’, ‘Tak’ Reaction Board and much more!

The museum will be open from 11am to 3pm and 5.15pm to 7pm and is Free Entry for All Members for this match. Entry is beside the Dug Out Bar at the fan zone outside the East Stand. Members must show their Membership Card at the door for entry.

The Munster Rugby Stores will be open at the stadium with the East Stand store and Mobile unit outside the West Stand both open from 12 noon.

The stadium turnstiles will be open from 1.15pm with all bars and food outlets inside the ground open at the same time.

‘Tap and go’ – Contactless payments are now available throughout Thomond Park for amounts up to €30.

After the game the Dugout Bar will be open with bars and catering facilities in the fan zone also open after the game.

Please note:

No one will be able to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of any soft drink containers on entering the stadium.

Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations found

There will be stewards and security on site to assist you with your enquiries on the day, and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely, so please respect their requests.

The public bus service from Henry Street (bus no. 302) runs every 20 minutes to Thomond Park.

There is no parking in the vicinity of Thomond Park Stadium.
