Mike Sherry has been added to the Champions Cup squad along with Conor Oliver

The Munster squad returned to the High Performance Centre in Limerick today with preparations commencing for Sunday’s crucial Champions Cup clash against Castres Olympique at Thomond Park (1pm).

Munster A will also be in action this weekend as they host Ospreys Premiership Select at Irish Independent Park on Friday night with tickets available at the gate (7.45pm).

Ahead of Sunday’s clash against Castres, Mike Sherry and Conor Oliver have both been added to Munster’s Champions Cup squad in place of Liam O’Connor and Mark Flanagan.

Peter O’Mahony, who departed 55 minutes into the clash against Racing 92 with an ankle knock, continues to be treated by the medical team.

Ronan O’Mahony suffered no ill effects on his return from long-term injury for Munster A in Friday night’s impressive win away to Nottingham in the British and Irish Cup.

Gerbrandt Grobler, who was injured in the pre-season game against Worcester Warriors back in August, also made a successful return for Munster A.

Calvin Nash is also back to full fitness after starting for Munster A on Friday night.

Dave O’Callaghan and Dan Goggin are back in full training following their long-term injuries.

Niall Scannell (ribs) continues to be treated by the medical team and Tommy O’Donnell is still undergoing rehab for an AC joint injury.
