Ticket & Matchday Info | Munster v Castres Olympique

The latest ticket, travel and matchday information for Sunday afternoons’s must-win Champions Cup clash in Thomond Park where Munster host Castres Olympique (1pm).

Tickets

Tickets start from €20 for Adults, and €10 for Juniors and are available to buy:

  • online here,
  • from the Munster Rugby Ticket Offices at Thomond Park and Irish Independent Park, or
  • by calling 061 421103
  • from the ticket office in Thomond Park on Saturday January 20th from 11am to 5pm
  • from the ticket office in Thomond Park from 9am on match day.

Supporters are advised to only purchase tickets to our home games through Munster Rugby or Ticketmaster. Tickets bought on 3rd party websites break our terms and conditions and those who purchase from 3rd party sites are at risk of purchasing a cancelled ticket.

Pre-Match & Half-Time

We welcome the MRSC Choir who will perform before kick-off along with Sinead O’Brien. The 27 Brass Band will also be with us pre match. The MRSC Guard of Honour will be present to welcome the teams onto the pitch. Our half-time mini rugby display will feature Corca Dhuibhne v Dolphin and Crosshaven v Dungarvan.

Dolores O’Riordan

In memory of Dolores O’Riordan, a number of The Cranberries’ greatest hits will be played in the pre-match build-up on Sunday. The Limerick rock star performed with the band at the Special Olympics opening ceremony in Thomond Park in 2010.

Stadium Information

Open from 10:30am, make the Guinness Fan Zone your pre-match meeting point. Soak up the atmosphere in the Guinness Dug Out Bar and Fan Zone Village and enjoy great food from a wide range of artisan vendors.

There will be lots of activity in the Fan Zone including the Bank of Ireland Family Funzone which will be open for our younger supporters. We will also have player meet and greets from noon. Spin South West will be on location and our mascot Oscar is looking forward to meeting younger supporters. Plus they can put their rugby skills to the test in the ‘Tackle Cage Challenge’, ‘Tak’ Reaction Board and much more!

The Munster Rugby Museum Experience is open from 11am, until before kick-off.

The stadium turnstiles will be open from 11am with all bars and food outlets inside the ground open at the same time.

‘Tap and go’ – Contactless payments are now available throughout Thomond Park for amounts up to €30.

The Munster Rugby Stores will be open at the stadium with the East Stand store open from 11;00am, and the Mobile unit outside the West Stand also open from 11:00am.

After the game the Dugout Bar will be open with bars and catering facilities in the fan zone also open after the game.

Please note:

  • No one will be able to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of any soft drink containers on entering the stadium.
  • Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations found
  • There will be stewards and security on site to assist you with your enquiries on the day, and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely, so please respect their requests.

Traffic & Travel
Trains

Irish Rail have an hourly service from both Dublin and Cork to Limerick on the day of the match.

The public bus service from Henry Street (bus no. 302) runs every 20 minutes to Thomond Park.

There is no parking in the vicinity of Thomond Park Stadium.
