Squad Update Ahead Of Zebre

Dave Kilcoyne is progressing well with his rehab.

The Munster squad returned to training in the High Performance Centre at UL today ahead of the Guinness PRO14 clash against Zebre at Thomond Park on Saturday, February 10 (7.35pm).

Tickets for the game are available here with a family pack of four tickets just €40.

With no Guinness PRO14 or Champions Cup games taking place last weekend, a number of senior and Greencore Munster Rugby Academy players were in All Ireland League action for their clubs.

Senior player Dan Goggin, who recently returned from a long-term injury, and Academy members Calvin Nash, Gavin Coombes and Alan Tynan helped Young Munster to a very impressive 25-16 win in Clontarf.

Academy player Jack Power lined out for the hosts with Goggin and Coombes touching down in the win as Tynan kicked two conversions and two penalties in the victory.

Academy players Alex McHenry and Vincent O’Brien were unable to prevent Cork Constitution from slipping to an 18-16 defeat away to St Mary’s College.

Senior player Stephen Fitzgerald and Academy members Conor Fitzgerald, Jack Stafford and John Foley started for Shannon as they fell to a 10-5 loss away to Ballymena.

Academy prop Rob O’Donovan started for UCC as the Students were beaten 23-7 in Ballynahinch.

On the international front, 11 Munster players trained with the Ireland squad yesterday as Sammy Arnold joined Andrew Conway, Keith Earls, Chris Farrell, Ian Keatley, James Cronin, Conor Murray, Peter O’Mahony, John Ryan, Rory Scannell and CJ Stander at Carton House.

Dave Kilcoyne, who was also included in the Ireland squad before sustaining an injury against Castres, is progressing positively with his rehab at Munster this week.

There are also Munster players set to play their part for the Ireland U20s in France this weekend with six Munster men named in the squad. Full details.

On the injury front, Calvin Nash is being assessed by the medical team after sustaining a knee injury while in club action for Young Munster last weekend.

Tommy O’Donnell is continuing to rehab his AC joint injury.

Continuing to rehab:

Tyler Bleyendaal, Jaco Taute.
