Head Coach Johann van Graan provided an update on the squad yesterday. He said: “James Cronin is back from Irish camp, Dave Kilcoyne has gone into Irish camp. Tyler is back in training – we might not see him over this weekend, but it’s good, he is training full on with the squad. Andrew Conway is in rehab with us over the next few weeks with his knee.

“Then there’s just a few bumps and bruises. Dave O’Callaghan came through the game with his club very well – great to have him back. Niall Scannell came through well after that Castres game where he took a few knocks. So we are in a good state of health at this stage.”

Looking ahead to the clash against Zebre, van Graan said: “Well, it was my first game when I arrived in Ireland – the away game to Zebre. If you just look at Italian rugby – they haven’t quite got the results but they’re playing some good rugby. We’ve had a good look at them – their continuity game, they attack from all parts of the field, so defensively we will have to be at our best to keep them out. The big thing for us is to focus on our game in this next block of four games, and we want to improve as a side.”
