#ShowSomeHeart For The Irish Heart Foundation

Munster Rugby are supporting the Irish Heart Foundation’s #ShowSomeHeart campaign this month.

The Irish Heart Foundation are Munster Rugby’s official charity partner for the season and we are asking everybody to #ShowSomeHeart by buying a temporary heart tattoo – designed by award-winning graphic designer Annie Atkins – to make a permanent change in the fight against heart disease and stroke.

Munster players Jack O’Donoghue, Alex Wootton and Conor Oliver all wore the tattoos during the Guinness PRO14 clash against Zebre last weekend and the tattoos are on sale from Irish Independent Park in Cork as well as Insomnia and Daybreak stores across Ireland.

The Irish Heart Foundation are also encouraging people to host an event for the charity this month to help raise much needed funds. Whether it’s hosting a coffee morning or a healthy bake sale – the Irish Heart Foundation will give you everything you need to make your fundraiser a success including fundraising ideas, tips and posters. See more details here.

Tim Collins, Chief Executive at the Irish Heart Foundation, said: “A heart attack or stroke can strike suddenly, lasting only moments but leaving a last effect. Today in Ireland a family loses a loved one every hour to heart disease and stroke and it shouldn’t be this way. Together they’re Ireland’s number one number one killer which is why we’re calling on the nation to help us change these statistics. Remember, this February an Irish Heart Foundation temporary tattoo can make a permanent change. So please Show Some Heart by organising a tattoo coffee morning for Valentine’s or donate online at irishheart.ie for a tattoo reward.”

So don’t delay, register here today and make a permanent change this February.
