Competition | Moment Of The Month – January 2018

Keith Earls' performance against Racing 92 is one of the options for Moment of the Month

Here’s your chance to win two tickets to Munster’s Guinness PRO14 clash against defending champions Scarlets at Thomond Park on the weekend of March 23/24/25 (details to be confirmed).

Simply vote for your favourite Munster Moment of the Month below, enter your details and you could win two tickets to the match at Thomond Park!

Moment 1 – Louis Farnham try (Tullamore RFC v Midleton RFC)

There’s nothing sweeter than an intercept try but there’s something special when you do it virtually on your own line before running 100 metres to score at the opposite end.

This try was one of two for Louis Farnham as Midleton moved off the foot of the table with a 31-3 away win at Tullamore in Division 2C of the All Ireland League.

Moment 2 – Keith Earls v Racing 92

A mesmeric performance for the Munster winger on the 4G pitch at the U Arena in the Champions Cup.

Although Munster ultimately lost the match, Earls was at his very best throughout and scored one of Munster’s tries as a losing bonus-point was secured.

The Moyross man played his part again the following week with a Man of the Match performance against Castres as qualification for a record 17th Champions Cup quarter-final was secured.

Moment 3 – John Hurley try (St Clement’s v Crescent College)

The moment of the Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Cup competitions so far, John Hurley finished off a stunning length of the field move in Crescent College’s Senior Cup win over St Clement’s at UL.

Hurley’s centre partner Jamie Hoffman created the try as he received the ball on his own line, jinked through the Clement’s defence, and played a one-two with Aaron Cosgrave, who found Hurley on his inside to finish under the posts.

Submitting your Moment of the Month

Each month throughout the season, we give supporters the opportunity to vote for your Munster Moment of the Month.

Our clubs, schools and supporters are all encouraged to enter their favourite rugby moment, whether it be on or off the pitch, into our Moment of the Month competition. It may be a fantastic team or individual try, a special moment from the training ground, or a memorable highlight from a rugby event.

We then select the three best moments and put it out to a public vote. You can also win prizes simply by voting for your favourite!

You don’t need a state-of-the-art camera, your video can be filmed on a decent camera phone.

The video needs to be shot in landscape format and the original file must be sent via wetransfer to andrewphayer@munsterrugby.ie.
