Munster travel to Murrayfield on Friday night to face in-form Edinburgh in the Guinness PRO14 (7.35pm).
Johann van Graan’s side defeated Glasgow Warriors at the weekend to get back to winning ways with match highlights and photos from that vital win here .
The squad returned to training at the High Performance Centre in Limerick yesterday, see the best photos here from training .
Edinburgh were also in action at the weekend and secured a bonus-point victory against the Dragons at Ebbw Vale’s Eugene Cross Park – their fifth win in six games.
The Scottish side now hold the third and final play-off spot in Guinness PRO14 Conference B – a position which guarantees the club Champions Cup rugby next season.
Speaking ahead of the clash, van Graan said: “They are very well positioned. I have been following their progress and they are very tough to beat, especially at home. Scottish rugby on a whole is on a high after that victory over the weekend and we’re playing at Murrayfield as well against one of the form sides of Conference B. We will have to be at our best on Friday evening.
“We believe the weather might play a big part at Friday night’s game, it sounds like it’s going to be very snowy and cold so it suits for a specific type of game. We need to prepare for that and we need to adapt if it changes.
“It is one we are looking forward to against a quality side, we want to improve every week. I thought we did well against Glasgow and hopefully we will have a better performance on Friday.”
Edinburgh have navigated the 6 Nations period brilliantly and have won all three fixtures thus far – two of which were away from home.
Head Coach Richard Cockerill has instilled a real winning mentality in Edinburgh and they have started to build serious momentum with late wins over Glasgow, Stade Francais in the Challenge Cup, Leinster and Ulster proving their mettle.
