Joey Carbery is enjoying his early weeks at Munster.

Ireland international Joey Carbery has given his first interview since joining Munster on a two-year deal earlier this summer.

The 22-year-old out-half is enjoying his early days at the province and is settling into his new environment with the Guinness PRO14 season now just 10 days away as Munster host the Cheetahs at Thomond Park on Saturday, September 1, at 5.15pm. Buy tickets.

Born in Auckland, Carbery’s family moved to Athy, Kildare, when he was 11 years of age and the out-half was marked out as a special talent from an early age.

Having progressed through the Leinster age-grade system, Carbery moved up to the senior side in 2015 and scored 101 points in 37 appearances for the province.

He has earned 12 Ireland caps to date and helped Ireland to a Test Series victory in Australia earlier this summer.

Munster’s next game sees Champions Cup opponents Exeter Chiefs visit Irish Independent Park this Friday night at 7.30pm in the Kearys Renault Series 2018. See more details and buy tickets here.
