Andrew Conway reaches 100 caps for Munster today

Andrew Conway will earn his 100^th cap for the province when he lines out at full-back against Leinster this evening at the Aviva (6pm).

By doing so, he becomes the 14^th player of the current squad to reach the milestone.

A native of Dublin, the speedster made the provincial switch from Leinster at the start of the 2013/14 season, and made his first appearance in red away to Zebre that September.

It was a year later before he made his Champions Cup debut, marking it with a try in the 26-27 win over Sale Sharks.

Adding to his appearance tally year-on-year, initially on the wings and then also in the 15 jersey, the 27-year-old is now in his sixth season and has scored 32 tries.

He finished the 2016/17 season as Munster’s leading try scorer, touching down 11 times, but it was the try from March 2018 that will forever be etched in the memories of Munster supporters.

It was a moment of magic that saw Conway produce a late wonder try that led to the province securing a famous Champions Cup quarter-final victory against Toulon in Thomond Park.

Replacement out-half Francois Trinh-Duc cleared the ball up towards halfway and with the ball seemingly finding touch, Conway somehow stretched far enough to catch the kick before slaloming his way to the line for one of the all-time great Munster tries.
