Thomond Park hosts Champions Cup rugby for the first time this season on Saturday as Munster welcome Pool 2 leaders Gloucester to Limerick for a 1pm kick-off.

There were two sides in action at the weekend as Munster drew with Exeter Chiefs in the Champions Cup with Munster A beaten by Leinster A in Donnybrook in their Celtic Cup clash.

Keith Earls was withdrawn from the Munster squad prior to kick-off at Sandy Park with an injury to his hamstring – he will undergo a scan today to assess the injury and determine treatment.

Sammy Arnold suffered a throat injury and was observed overnight in hospital. He has been discharged and will be assessed by the medical department to determine availability for this weekend.

John Ryan suffered an ankle injury during the game. He will be assessed by the medical department and undergo treatment this week to determine availability for this weekend.

Dave O’Callaghan suffered a foot injury during the Munster A game and will be seen by a specialist to determine his further treatment.

The following are progressing with rehabilitation: Liam O’Connor (knee), Conor Oliver (toe), Jack O’Donoghue (knee), Conor Murray (neck), James Hart (knee), Alby Mathewson (knee), Chris Farrell (knee), Ronan O’Mahony (ankle), Calvin Nash (ankle).
