JJ Hanrahan in action against Cheetahs

Following on from Saturday’s last minute victory against Glasgow in Thomond Park, a 27-man squad set off for Johannesburg today with Cheetahs next up in the Guinness PRO14.

The group will base themselves in Johannesburg and travel to Bloemfontein at the weekend for Sunday’s Round 8 encounter.

Included in the squad are Academy players Gavin Coombes, Liam Coombes, Shane Daly and Sean O’Connor.

A 26-man Ireland squad depart for Chicago today ahead of Saturday’s game against Italy at Soldier Field. Included in the squad are Tadhg Beirne, Dave Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell, Joey Carbery, Andrew Conway and Darren Sweetnam.
