21st November 2018 By The Editor

Ben Healy on his way to scoring a try against Scarlets A in the Celtic Cup.

Ben Healy played a major part in Garryowen's 32-26 victory over Young Munster.

In our new series profiling the eight recruits that joined the Greencore Munster Rugby Academy in the summer, out-half Ben Healy is the latest addition under the spotlight.

Tipperary man Healy joined the Academy in the summer of 2018 and has represented Munster at U18, U19 and U20 level and also played for the Ireland U18s and U19s.

Having started playing rugby at Nenagh Ormond RFC, Healy went on to captain Glenstal Abbey to their first ever Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Senior Cup triumph in 2018.

A strong start to his first season in the Academy saw Healy make five appearances and score 19 points for Munster A in the Celtic Cup.
