Ronan O’Mahony, Conor Murray, Chris Farrell and Conor Oliver all made their first appearances of the season in yesterday’s bonus-point win over Zebre and suffered no ill effects on their return.

Darren Sweetnam is being assessed by the medical team for a back injury sustained on international duty with Ireland on Saturday evening.

Along with the eight players involved in Ireland’s win over the USA and the 23-man squad that beat Zebre, there were nine Munster Academy players in All Ireland League action at the weekend.

Jack Stafford and Eoghan Clarke both started Shannon’s 31-19 loss away to Dublin University with replacement Craig Casey touching down in the defeat.

Alex McHenry started Cork Con’s 31-3 win in UCD with fellow Academy man Shane Daly scoring a try as a replacement.

Ben Healy kicked two conversion and six penalties for Garryowen as they beat Young Munster 32-26 at Dooradoyle.

Liam Coombes and Matt More also featured for Garryowen with Alan Tynan touching down for the Cookies.
