European rugby returns to Thomond Park this Sunday as Munster host French champions Castres Olympique in the Champions Cup at 1pm with tickets on sale now.

Gates open at 11am and you can buy adult tickets from just €20 and junior tickets from just €10 here.

The Munster Rugby Ticket Offices at Thomond Park and Irish Independent Park are open from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. You can also buy tickets by ringing 061 421103.

The Munster Rugby Ticket Office at Thomond Park will also open this Saturday from 10am to 4pm and will be open from 9am on matchday (Sunday, December 9).

Stadium Selfie Competition With Shannon Airport

Sunday’s Stadium Selfie competition is another very special one as Munster Rugby’s official airport partner Shannon Airport have very kindly provided not one but two incredible prizes! Flights for two to Alicante in Spain and flights for two to the East Midlands in England so four lucky supporters will be jetting off thanks to Shannon Airport. To enter the competition, just post a selfie from Thomond Park on Sunday on Twitter or Instagram using #ThomondParkSelfie and tag the official Munster Rugby accounts, @munsterrugby. We will be announcing the lucky winners at half-time so make sure you send in your stadium selfie to be in with the chance of winning one of these amazing prizes – with thanks to Shannon Airport.

Santa Hats

Make sure you keep an eye out for the Munster Rugby Supporters Club volunteers who will be handing out Santa hats and flags around the stadium before kick-off!

Entertainment

Munster Rugby are excited to welcome Rick Swann to Thomond Park’s Munster Live stage this Sunday. Rick has become one of Europe’s leading performers having performed on many leading European Festivals and worked with many of Europe’s top DJs – holding residencies in Ireland, Britain, Spain, Croatia and Montenegro. Adding a strong live instrumental performance to our Match Day music, it promises to create a very special atmosphere.

We welcome back the Munster Rugby Supporters Club Choir to Thomond Park to perform in front of the home crowd. They will then be joined by Limerick Soloist Jean Wallace for Stand Up and Fight just before kick-off. The MRSC Guard of Honour will be present to welcome teams onto the pitch and our half-time mini rugby display will feature Galbally RFC vs Crosshaven RFC. Fanzone

Open from 11am our covered Pavilion in the Fanzone serves as a great pre-match meeting point at Thomond Park. Meet the players there from 12 noon and soak up the atmosphere in the Guinness Dug Out Bar. There will be lots to enjoy in the Fan Zone including the new Gaming Zone with GameMachine Ireland in the Bank of Ireland Family Funzone which will be open for our younger supporters offering free 15-minute gaming sessions. The Spin South West Spinnis will be on location and our mascot Oscar is looking forward to meeting our younger supporters too!

We will also reveal the Thomond Park 10-year Anniversary mosaic compiled from Munster supporter selfies taken in Life Style Sports stores and that is all with thanks to Adidas. Pop down to the Fanzone before kick off to see if you can spot your pic!

Don’t forget the Munster Rugby Museum Experience is open from 11:30am right up to kick off!

The Munster Rugby Stores will be open at the Stadium from 11am you have a choice of 3 locations; the main store and mobile unit in the East Stand and the mobile unit at the West Stand.

Stadium Info

Gates open at 11am with all bars and food outlets inside the ground open at the same time. Contactless payments are available at all stadium bars and at selected food outlets in Thomond Park.

Please note:

  • No one will be permitted to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of any soft drink/ water containers on entering the stadium.
  • Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations
  • There will be stewards and security onsite to assist you with your enquiries on the day, and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely, so please respect their requests.

302 Public Bus service from Henry Street runs every 20 mins from 11:00 and has a drop off at Thomond Park.
