Munster’s Guinness PRO14 Interpro derby against Leinster takes place at Thomond Park on Saturday, December 29, at 5.15pm with the game completely sold-out weeks in advance of the fixture.

With extra seating installed and sold-out in record time, an attendance of 26,267 will attend the fixture – a record-equalling attendance for a PRO14 game at Thomond Park.

Gates open at 3.15pm with all bars and food outlets inside the ground open at the same time. Contactless payments are available at all stadium bars and at selected food outlets in Thomond Park for amounts up to €30.

Charity Match

The game has been nominated as Munster’s official Charity Match for the season. Representatives from Munster’s Nominated Charities, Cliona’s Foundation and the Irish Cancer Society, will each be presented with a signed Munster jersey on the pitch.

Match programmes will be on sale at the game for €5, with €1 from each match programme sold donated to the respective charities so don’t forget to buy from a seller in the stadium.

Ticket Collections & Enquiries

Tickets have sold out weeks in advance of the fixture. Our mobile ticket unit will be open for collections from 15:15 until 17:45 and is located on the East as you approach the stadium from Cratloe Road

Entertainment

The Munster Live stage is very excited to welcome international DJ John Gibbons to Thomond Park with thanks to Spin South West. Following tours and shows in the UK, Europe and Australia alongside Tiesto, Justin Bieber, Clean Bandit, Sigala, Oliver Heldens, Disciples, Robin Schulz John Gibbons will bring the soundtrack to a great party including all his biggest hits “Would I Lie to You”, “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)”, “Sunglasses in the rain” and loads more of your favourites! John Gibbons is going to lead the Munster home crowd in making sure it is a match day party atmosphere to remember!

We welcome back the Munster Rugby Supporters Club Choir to Thomond Park to perform in front of the home crowd. The will also have pop up performances at the back of the West Stand and also in the Fanzone on the day. They will then be joined by Soloist Sinead O’Brien for Stand Up and Fight just before kick-off. The MRSC Guard of Honour will be present to welcome teams onto the pitch and our half time mini rugby display with feature Douglas RFC vs Dolphin RFC. We will also have a very special Dizzy Kicks with thanks to Marks & Spencer taking place at half time. A Munster Season Ticket holder will take on a Leinster Season Ticket holder in a battle to win tickets for the sold out 3Arena shows with the incredible PICTURE THIS!

We want to see as many red Munster flags as possible in Thomond Park so make sure a grab a free flag from our volunteer flag distributors as you enter the ground and raise your flags and voices behind the team! Big thanks to the MRSC volunteers helping us out with this.

Open from 2pm our covered Pavilion in the Fanzone serves as a great pre-match meeting point here in Thomond Park. Meet the players there from 3.45pm and soak up the atmosphere in the Guinness Dug Out Bar. There will be lots to enjoy in the Fan Zone including the new Gaming Zone with GameMachine Ireland in the Bank of Ireland Family Funzone which will be open for our younger supporters offering free 15-minute gaming sessions. Spin South West Spinnis will be on location and our mascot Oscar is looking forward to meeting our younger supporters too.

Don’t forget the Munster Rugby Museum Experience is open from 3pm right up to kick off!

The Munster Rugby Stores will be open at the Stadium from 2.15pm you have a choice of 3 locations; the main store and mobile unit in the East Stand and the mobile unit at the West Stand.

Shannon Airport Competition

Don’t forget to enter our #ThomondParkSelfie competition for the chance to win return flights for two to Malaga from Shannon Airport. All you have to do is post a selfie from Thomond Park on match day, tag @MunsterRugby and include #ThomondParkSelfie. We will announce the lucky winner at half time all with thanks to Munster Rugby Airport Partner, Shannon Airport.

  • No one will be permitted to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of any soft drink/ water containers on entering the stadium.
  • Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations
  • There will be stewards and security onsite to assist you with your enquiries on the day, and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely, so please respect their requests.

302 Public Bus service from Henry Street runs every from 13:30 and has a drop off at Thomond Park.
