It was confirmed today that Joey Carbery has signed a two-year contract extension that will see him remain with Munster until June 2022.

Following the news, Carbery said: “I’m absolutely delighted. Happy to be staying down here, more than privileged to be accepted into this club and to be part of this club and being able to train and throw on the jersey each weekend is pretty special.

“I feel like I’m properly fitted in now and know the lads really well. They made it easy, my transition coming down, and having known a few lads from the Irish set-up, I can’t ask for much more really.”
