The 2019/20 Champions Cup Pool draw begins at approximately 1.30pm Irish time today with the event taking place in Lausanne, Switzerland.
You can follow a live stream of the draw below.
Munster have been placed in Tier 2 ahead of the Pool draw as the province look to extend their record of qualifying for the knockout stages more than any other side – Munster have qualified for 18 quarter-finals, winning 14 of those.
This year’s final will be held in Marseille and Munster one of 20 clubs hoping to lift the Champions Cup trophy in France on Saturday, May 23.
The only teams from the below list that Munster cannot be drawn against are Leinster, Glasgow Warriors, Gloucester, Lyon, Connacht and Ulster.
Prior to the draw for the Pools, a draw will take place to decide the final teams in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3. The final two teams in Tier 1 will be drawn from the second ranked sides: Exeter Chiefs, Glasgow Warriors and Clermont Auvergne (the beaten finalists in the three domestic competitions).
One of those three teams will be placed in Tier 2 with the final Tier 2 spot and the two empty spaces in Tier 3 filled by either Northampton Saints, Ulster or La Rochelle.
There will be five Pools drawn with one team from each of the four Tiers per Pool.
