Eight Munster players have been named in Ireland’s squad for their second pool game of the Rugby World Cup on Saturday against Japan (8.15am Irish time).
Keith Earls and Joey Carbery are named in their first match-day squad of the campaign, with Earls starting and Carbery included in the replacements. After overcoming an ankle injury the young playmaker is in line for his World Cup debut.
Winger Earls is joined by Chris Farrell in midfield as the centre makes his first World Cup start this weekend after an impressive showing off the bench against Scotland.
Conor Murray retains his place at 9, as do Peter O’Mahony and CJ Stander in the back row.
