Squad Update

The Munster squad are on a down week following the team’s two-week tour of South Africa and will return to training next Monday ahead of the province’s Guinness PRO14 clash against Ospreys at Irish Independent Park on Friday, October 25 (7.35pm).
Twenty-eight players, including Munster Academy front-row forwards Diarmuid Barron and Keynan Knox, saw game-time in South Africa as Munster defeated Southern Kings last week before falling to their first defeat of the season against Cheetahs on Friday.
On the World Cup front, 10 Munster players featured in Ireland’s 47-5 win over Samoa on Saturday – Keith Earls, Conor Murray, Tadhg Beirne, CJ Stander, Niall Scannell, David Kilcoyne, Jean Kleyn, Peter O’Mahony, Joey Carbery and Andrew Conway.
CJ Stander and Andrew Conway were among the tries as Ireland progressed to a World Cup quarter-final against the All Blacks on Saturday (11.15am Irish time).
Academy Players In AIL Action
Four Academy players were in All Ireland League action at the weekend.
Jack Stafford was a try-scorer for Garryowen in their 25-24 victory over Lansdowne with Jack Daly also lining out at Dooradoyle.
Seán French helped Cork Constitution to a 28-25 win over Clontarf and John Hodnett featured for UCC as they swept past Ballynahinch on a 39-6 scoreline.
