Squad Update | Internationals Return Ahead Of Ulster Interpro

The Munster squad returned to training at the High Performance Centre on Monday after Saturday night’s Guinness PRO14 win away to Cardiff Blues.

Munster’s 12 Rugby World Cup representatives have returned to the HPC with the majority of our returning internationals set to feature in Saturday’s Interpro derby against Ulster at Thomond Park on Saturday evening (5.15pm).

As confirmed last week, Joey Carbery is set to rehab an ankle injury at the province.

The Ulster clash is Munster’s first Interpro derby of the season and is set to be a cracker with both teams having made strong starts to the season. The match kicks off at 5.15pm and you can buy tickets here.

The MRSC are running a bus from Cork for the game with members able to book via your MRSC accounts. It costs €15 per place, please note the bus leaves at 2pm.

Munster Players In All Ireland League Action

14 Munster players were in All Ireland League action at the weekend with four senior men and 10 Greencore Munster Rugby Academy players in club action.

Senior players Neil Cronin and Seán O’Connor and Academy players Ben Healy and Jack Stafford featured for Garryowen with Healy kicking a conversion and penalty in their 25-5 win over Ballynahinch.

Academy trio Alex McHenry, Seán French and Jonathan Wren helped Cork Constitution to a 13-10 victory over Terenure College.

The Academy’s John Hodnett and James French were in action for UCC in their 27-20 loss to Clontarf with Hodnett among the tries.

Senior player Gavin Coombes and Academy duo Alan Tynan and Josh Wycherley played in Young Munster’s 9-9 draw against UCD.

Senior man Craig Casey and the Academy’s Eoghan Clarke featured for Shannon as they were beaten 34-14 in Banbridge.
