Squad Update | Munster Prepare For Racing 92

The Munster squad have been training at the HPC since Monday ahead of Saturday’s big Champions Cup clash against Racing 92 at Thomond Park (5.30pm).

There were 23 Munster players in action against Ospreys on Saturday night with 17 senior and Academy players also in AIL action for their clubs.
In squad news, the province confirmed yesterday that Saturday’s clash against Racing 92 will be Alby Mathewson’s final game at Munster with the scrum-half departing after making a big impact since joining in August 2018.

On the injury front, JJ Hanrahan and Rhys Marshall will be re-integrated to training this week.
Continuing to rehab: Chris Cloete (RTPP), Dave Kilcoyne (calf), Joey Carbery (ankle) Ciaran Parker (calf), Darren Sweetnam (hamstring).
Munster Players In All Ireland League Action
There were 17 Munster players in All Ireland League action at the weekend with four senior players and 13 Academy men playing for their clubs.
Senior player Seán O’Connor and the Academy’s Jack Stafford, Diarmuid Barron and Jack Daly helped Garryowen to a 13-10 win over Clontarf.
Young Munster’s 7-0 win away to Clontarf saw senior man Gavin Coombes and Academy players Alan Tynan, Keynan Knox and Josh Wycherley all play their part.
Six players featured for both sides of the Cork derby between UCC and Cork Constitution as Con secured a 10-6 victory at the Mardyke.
The Academy’s Jonathan Wren was a try-scorer for Con with senior prop Brian Scott and Academy players Alex McHenry and Seán French also featuring for Cork Con.
Academy duo Jack O’Sullivan and John Hodnett lined out for UCC in the derby.
Senior scrum-half Craig Casey and Academy hooker Eoghan Clarke were in action for Shannon as they were beaten 16-14 in Naas.
