In preparing for Saturday’s game against Leinster at Thomond Park (6pm), the schedule alters this week with Christmas festivities to be enjoyed, in moderation of course.

After completing today’s training programme at the HPC, the squad will use Tuesday and Wednesday as recovery days before resuming the gym and pitch sessions on Thursday.

With 12 players in attendance at the IRFU’s High Performance Centre earlier today, the Munster squad numbers were boosted with Academy participants at today’s pitch session in UL.

Defence Coach JP Ferreira, Kevin O’Byrne and Sammy Arnold all spoke to the media in previewing Saturday’s encounter.

Leinster currently lead the way in Conference A of the competition, while Munster retained top spot in Conference B following a 19-14 win away to Connacht at the weekend.
