Munster suffered a first defeat at Thomond Park in two years on Saturday night as Leinster secured a 13-6 Guinness PRO14 victory in Limerick.
JJ Hanrahan kicked both Munster penalties with three Greencore Munster Rugby Academy players featuring off the bench – Keynan Knox, Jack O’Sullivan and Diarmuid Barron – with Joey Carbery making his first appearance of the season off the bench.
Despite the defeat, Munster stay top of Guinness PRO14 Conference with the losing bonus-point keeping the province one point ahead of second-placed Edinburgh.
A record-equalling crowd of 26,267 were in attendance for the clash.
Munster are back in Interpro action on Friday night as Johann van Graan’s side travel to face Ulster in Belfast at 7.35pm.
