Fixtures and kick-off times for the return of the Guinness PRO14 from August 21 can now be confirmed after consultation with clubs and broadcasters.

An abbreviated schedule will see the 2019/20 Guinness PRO14 regular season run to 15 rounds followed by Semi-finals and a Final across four consecutive weeks.

The derby format sees Munster take on Leinster in the opening round on Saturday August 22 at the Aviva Stadium at 7.35pm.  The reigning Champions are top of Conference A and were undefeated in the 13 rounds before the break.

Eight days later Munster host Connacht at the Aviva on Sunday August 30 at 3pm. The western province sit fourth in Conference B.

Below is a snapshot of the top four sides in Conference B and Munster’s current standing.

While all of the Irish, Italian, Scottish and Welsh derbies have been confirmed, no dates have been fixed for the Guinness PRO14 derby games between the Toyota Cheetahs and the Isuzu Southern Kings.

Due to the current conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic in South Africa, both teams have just been allowed to return to non-contact training this week. PRO14 Rugby aims to identify appropriate dates for the two derbies when possible.
