Preview

Saturday afternoon’s clash in Wales is set to feature the strongest sides available to both clubs as Conference B rivals Scarlets and Munster face off in the most highly-anticipated clash of the Guinness PRO14’s opening weekend.

Munster ended last season just four points above Scarlets to deny the Welsh side a spot in the semi-finals.

Scarlets were in Challenge Cup quarter-final action just two weeks ago when they fell to a narrow 11-6 loss away to Toulon with Leigh Halfpenny kicking two penalties for the Welsh side.

Glenn Delaney was recently installed as the new Scarlets Head Coach with the New Zealander, who had been Defence Coach, taking the top job after Brad Moaar left to join the All Blacks coaching team.

Match Officials

Referee: Sam Grove-White (SRU, 8th competition game)
