The Munster 7s secured one win in the opening Round of the IRFU 7s Series at the IRFU High Performance Centre in Dublin on Saturday.

Greig Oliver’s charges secured a 40-14 victory over Connacht in their final game of the day having been defeated by the Ireland Men’s 7s side (33-7) and Ulster (24-12).

There were a number of eye-catching individual contributions as players seized the chance to boost game-time and sharpen their match intensity.

The Munster 7s squad included senior players Liam Coombes, Matt Gallagher, Calvin Nash, Alex McHenry and Jack O’Sullivan. Academy players Scott Buckley, Eoghan Clarke, Jack Crowley, Jack Daly, Jake Flannery, Seán French and Jonathan Wren completed the 12-man squad.
