This Week At Munster Rugby

There is plenty going on across Munster Rugby this week including two games for the senior side, scroll down for everything that’s happening over the next seven days.

Munster face Cardiff Blues on Monday night and then travel to Wales at the weekend for a clash with Dragons so it will be a shortened training week.

Monday

It’s an 8.15pm kick-off for Monday Night Rugby in the Guinness PRO14 as Munster take on Cardiff – find out all you need to know ahead of the game here.

We’ll have a match report and make sure you follow @MunsterRugby on Twitter and Instagram for match updates and the best photos and match clips from the game – we will also post behind-the-scenes footage from training pre-match.

Tuesday

It will be a down day for the squad but we will have a gallery and the PRO14 match highlights from Monday Night Rugby on munsterrugby.ie.

Wednesday

The squad return to training at the HPC  and we will be providing a squad update following the Cardiff Blues game with the latest injury news.

Our Champions Cup opponents will be revealed in the afternoon as the pool draw takes place in Switzerland.

We will also be awaiting details of the Ireland Men’s and Women’s teams to face France in their rearranged 6 Nations games at the weekend with the teams to be confirmed midweek.

The IRFU have confirmed that Keith Earls is finishing his rehabilitation programme at the IRFU’s HPC and a decision on his availability ahead of the game.

Thursday

Training continues for the Munster squad and a coach and player/s will be speaking to the the media remotely from the HPC.

A photographer from Inpho will be capturing pics at training. We will have a gallery on munsterrugby.ie and the best pics on our social media channels.

We will also be posting the October edition of the Greencore Munster Rugby Academy Update with a member of staff running the rule over the last four weeks for our Academy players.

Friday

A down day for the squad after a busy week.

We will have a video of Thursday’s media session in ‘Press Pass’ and a full preview of the game against Dragons where you can find out all you need to know.

The ‘Be There’ campaign continues while stadium capacity is limited. You can buy your cut-out here.

Saturday

The Munster team will go through the captain’s run in Limerick before flying to Wales via Shannon Airport in the early evening ahead of Sunday’s game in Newport.

The Munster team will be announced on munsterrugby.ie at noon.

It’s a big day of 6 Nations action with Ireland playing France in Paris at 8pm Irish time.

The second round of the IRFU Sevens Series is also being played in Dublin on Saturday.

Sunday

Munster take on Dragons at Rodney Parade with a 2pm kick-off in the Guinness PRO14.

The Ireland Women are also in action at that time as they face France at 2.30pm in Donnybrook. That game was due to be played on Saturday in Lille but French Rugby kindly agreed to play the game in Ireland after Covid-19 regulations threatened the fixture.
