Squad Update | Munster News Ahead Of Connacht Clash

The Munster squad returned to training today (Tuesday) ahead of Saturday’s clash against Connacht in URC round four at Thomond Park.

In player news, Alex McHenry has departed the province temporarily, joining Wasps on a one-month loan deal.

On the injury front, there is good news for Liam O’Connor (neck) as he has returned to full team training and is available for selection.

James French suffered a rib injury in training and is under the care of the medical team for rehab.

An update on RG Snyman was issued on Monday with full details here.

Jason Jenkins sustained a thigh injury in training last week and is undergoing rehab with the medical department.

Keynan Knox presented with a low-grade hip injury following last week’s win over Stormers which will be managed with the medical department.

Rowan Osborne is currently following the graduated return to play protocols under the supervision of the medical department following a concussion.

Continuing to rehab: Roman Salanoa (knee), Chris Farrell (abdomen).

There were three Munster players in Men’s AIL action over the weekend.

Greencore Munster Rugby Academy lock Paddy Kelly helped Garryowen defeat a UCC side that featured senior player John Hodnett, who started his first game since injuring his achilles tendon last year.

Academy back-row forward Daniel Okeke touched down for Shannon in their victory over Banbridge.
