Squad Update | Munster Prepare For Ospreys

The Munster squad returned to training at the HPC on Monday to begin preparations for Saturday’s United Rugby Championship game against Ospreys in Swansea.

It will be Munster’s final game of the opening five-week block of fixtures at the start of the season.

Damian de Allende has returned to the HPC and is training with the squad.

Rory Scannell was removed with a head injury during Saturday’s game against Connacht and will undergo the return to play protocols under the supervision of the medical department.

Keynan Knox (hip) will return to team training this week and James French has returned to modified training.

Thomas Ahern is unavailable due to illness.

There were 10 Munster men in AIL action at the weekend – four senior players and six members of the Greencore Munster Rugby Academy.

Jack Daly and Cian Hurley helped Garryowen to a 26-13 victory over UCD.

Alex Kendellen and Scott Buckley were in action for UCC as they went down 31-15 to Lansdowne with Kendellen among the tries.

Liam O’Connor, Jack Crowley and Seán French all lined out for Cork Constitution as they were beaten 31-24 by Clontarf with French touching down for Con.

Eoin O’Connor was in action for Young Munster as they beat Terenure 19-7.

In Division 1B, Daniel Okeke was a try-scorer for Shannon as they lost 23-20 to City of Armagh with Declan Moore also featuring.
