Munster face Northampton for the first time in almost 11 years on Sunday afternoon as the province visit Franklin’s Gardens for round two of the Champions Cup.

Northampton have won their last six home matches in all competitions.
This will be the seventh meeting of Munster and Northampton. Saints have beaten Munster twice, in the 2000 Heineken Cup final and the province’s most recent visit to Northampton in October 2009.
The teams last met in January 2012 with the fixture moved to Milton Keynes to facilitate a larger crowd with 22,220 attending a 51-36 victory for Munster.
Current squad members Stephen Archer, Keith Earls, Conor Murray, Peter O’Mahony and Simon Zebo all featured in that victory almost 11 years ago with Zebo scoring a hat-trick.
