Barbarians Men’s Squad Named For Munster Clash

The majority of the Barbarians men’s squad has been named for Saturday week’s double-header against Munster with a 4.30pm kick-off for the men’s game.

The women’s game starts at 2pm with Barbarians team news for that match available here.

Stade Toulousain coaches Jerome Kaino, Clement Poitrenaud and Virgile Lacombe will lead the side with Virimi Vakatawa, Leone Nakarawa and Toulouse prop Rodrigue Neti all included.

There are seven internationals starting in the pack with France’s Neti and Gaëtan Barlot joined by Moldovan tighthead Vadim Cobîlaș in the front row.

Fiji’s Leone Nakarawa and Samoa’s Piula Faʻasalele start in the engine room with Bayonne’s Baptiste Heguy, Wales international Aaron Shingler and France international Loann Goujon in the back row.

Bayonne scrum-half Guillaume Rouet and Castres Olympique’s Julien Dumora start in the half-backs.

Toulouse man Sofiane Guitoune and former Racing 92 star Virimi Vakatawa start together in midfield.

Former New Zealand 7s international Toby Arnold and Toulouse’s Lucas Tauzin start on either wing with Bordeaux Bègles man Nans Ducuing at full-back.

Kristian Dacey, Wales international Rob Evans, former France U20 captain Josh Brennan (son of Trevor Brennan) and Scotland international Damien Hoyland are among the replacements.

The Munster side will be named next week.
