It was a game of two halves in Galway on Friday afternoon as Munster A led 26-5 after a first half played with the wind at their backs but ended up losing 45-31 after a second-half Connacht comeback.
It was a good run-out for Munster A and the game was tied 31-all going into the final minutes but two late Connacht tries gave them the victory.
Tries from Oisín Pepper, Brian Gleeson, Edwin Edogbo and Andrew O’Mahony saw Munster establish a 26-5 half-time lead as Tony Butler kicked four conversions.
Edogbo scored his second try on 49 minutes with Butler’s conversion making it 31-12.
Taking advantage of the strong wind now blowing in their favour, Connacht scored three tries to level the game going into the final minutes and clinched the victory with two tries late on.
