Ciara Oliver, daughter of the great Greig Oliver, is participating in the 2024 Great Limerick Run and raising funds for the Children’s Grief Centre.

Munster Rugby were lucky to have Greig as a member of our Academy staff for 12 years before his tragic passing last summer, he played a huge role in the lives of so many young players on and off the pitch.

A proud Scotsman, we were privileged to have him as a colleague and a friend. Read our full tribute to Greig here.

See the fundraising page and donate if you can here.

A message from Ciara & the Oliver family

This charity hits close to home as my family and I are coping with grief after my Dad, Greig, tragically passed away in July 2023. He loved running, keeping fit, rugby and helping others achieve their true potential. I am doing this half marathon in memory of my Dad as one of our favourite pastimes was to go running together.

All donations are going to the Children’s Grief Centre. They are an invaluable resource for children who need extra support at a difficult time in their lives. Thanks to everyone who has donated, we greatly appreciate your support, Ciara and the Oliver Family xx

The Children’s Grief Centre

The Children’s Grief Centre was founded in 2009. Since then we have been providing free one to one support sessions to children and young people who have experienced a loss due to bereavement or parental separation.

Each year we support approximately 230 children and young people between the ages of 4 and 18. We also provide talks and workshops to the local and wider community to raise awareness around grief and loss.
