Event Information | MCD Concerts At Virgin Media Park

Nine concerts will be hosted by MCD Productions at Virgin Media Park this month with key event information available to view here.

MCD have produced the below guide with essential traffic, parking and event information for concert-goers.

Virgin Media Park is located in a residential area, it is requested that you respect the local residents at all times. There will be no parking facilities available at the venue, towing will be in operation.

Please ensure you leave sufficient time for additional traffic and security measures. IMPORTANT: NO QUEUING ALLOWED PRIOR TO GATES OPENING (17:00hrs each day)

NO overnight / early queuing allowed before the concerts.

Things To Know

  • Due to health and safety, there are strictly no camping/collapsible chairs/stools permitted in the venue. Please do not bring these items as security will have to refuse you entry with them.
  • This is an outdoor event, please check the weather forecast and dress accordingly for Irish weather – think wellies, boots or runners, layers, raincoats/ponchos and suncream but remember no umbrellas.
  • There are two points of entry to the stadium. You must enter through whichever gate is detailed on your ticket.
  • Show your ticket at the ticket check outside the stadium grounds for inspection.
  • Strict security checks will be in operation. Everyone will be subject to a search permissible under law, per Purchase Policy. It is a condition to entry, to protect everyone’s safety. Additional searches may take place once inside the venue.
  • Patrons are especially advised not to bring large bags/backpacks as they may experience delays or be refused entry. There will be no storage facilities on-site. Any items left at entrances / in surrounding areas will be removed and disposed of accordingly.
  • Bags larger than A4, glass or cans, umbrellas, alcohol, garden furniture, selfie sticks, flares, professional cameras and audio recording equipment will not be permitted. See the full list of prohibited items on Prohibited Items / MCD.ie.
  • Obey the stewards and Gardai and instructions given over the public address for your own safety.
  • There are no re-admissions to the concert. If you leave, there is no re-entry.
  • Promoter reserves the right to refuse admission without refund to anyone who fails to comply with these T&Cs, as agreed by customer and per Ticketmaster Purchase Policy.
  • Don’t rush to exits after the concerts.

Transport

Plan and book your return travel arrangements in advance allowing sufficient travel time to and from the venue. As traffic and parking delays are inevitable you are encouraged to walk, cycle, use public transport and private coach services. Promoters do not operate transport to/from the venue, this is a matter for customers to arrange in advance.

BY CAR: Please use Black Ash for concert parking (no park & ride in operation).

BY BUS: Bus Eireann run services that will bring you within walking distance of the stadium. From Cork City Centre – 203, 213.

BY TRAIN: Irish Rail run services to Cork Kent Train station. Visit www.irishrail.ie.

PLEASE NOTE: NO concert parking or drop off on Connolly Road, Slieve Mish Park or Green Lawn. Towing in operation. Please use Black Ash Park & Ride for concert parking.

There will be local road closures in place on show days managed by An Garda Siochana to facilitate safe crowd movement. Please follow their instructions.

Approach Routes

Please check your ticket in advance for details on which entry route you will need to take – Gate B via Tramore Road or Gate C via Pearse Road.

Ticket Info

  • Pitch and Gold Circle Tickets are strictly over 16’s – standing only.
  • Unreserved Seating Ticket – u16’s allowed with a parent or guardian – First come first served on seat location.
  • There will be one box office/ticket collection point located at the Pearse Road entrance.
  • Please download your tickets to your phone ahead of the event – don’t wait until the day. Screenshots will not be valid as barcodes are live and updating regularly.

Age Policy

Under 16’s MUST be accompanied at all times by a Parent/Guardian over 25, who takes full responsibility and remains with them throughout the event. Strict age monitoring will be in place. Unaccompanied under 16’s will be refused entry without refund. Recommended no under 5s. All attendees must have a ticket.

The promoter reserves the right to refuse admission without refund to anyone who fails to comply.
