MacHale Park becomes the 56th different venue to host a United Rugby Championship fixture.
Connacht have won two of their last seven BKT United Rugby Championship matches but those two wins were both at home within the space of the last three rounds.
Munster have lost their last two BKT URC fixtures since their 29-9 home win over Scarlets in Limerick in Round 11.
The last seven meetings between the two provinces have been won by the home team on the day whilst Munster’s most recent success on Connacht soil was at the Sportsground in January 2021.
