Munster Rugby can confirm that GAA Central Council have approved in principle the province’s application to host one EPCR Pool fixture at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in December 2025, if the province qualifies for next season’s Investec Champions Cup.

There is a huge battle for the eight URC Champions Cup places with 15 sides vying for eight spots.

There are four huge games remaining this season with Munster, at the time of writing, in fifth place in the URC table.

Both previous Munster Rugby games at Páirc Uí Chaoimh were completely sold-out with attendances of over 40,000.

The 41,400 attendance for the Munster v South Africa A game in November 2022 was a record crowd for rugby in the province.

For operational reasons, the application for the possible use of Páirc Uí Chaoimh was completed this month with approval granted in principle on Saturday, 29th March.

Should an EPCR pool game be staged in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Munster Rugby will advise on the number and blend of URC / EPCR games to be played in Thomond Park and Virgin Media Park next season.

Full details regarding Season Tickets for 2025/26 will also be communicated once the renewal period for MRSC members and Season Ticket holders opens in the coming weeks.
