Munster U21s Overcome Connacht

Munster U21s defeated Connacht in Thomond Park by 26 points to 15 in a less than exhilarating game awash with mistakes. Munster’s edge in the line outs secured them the win.

Munster U21s defeated Connacht in Thomond Park by 26 points to 15 in a less than exhilarating game awash with mistakes. Munster’s edge in the line outs secured them the win.

The first half was dominated by the two out halves with Connacht’s David Connellan getting three penalites and a tremendous drop goal from the half way line. Munster’s first half points all came from Barry Keeshan who managed a try and conversion as well as two penalties. Leaving the score at Half-Time Munster 13 Connacht 12.

Teh second half saw more of the same Keeshan kicking two penalties and Connellan getting one. As the game drew to a close, it looked as if it was all over, but in the final minute of the game, Munster’s Andrew Finn ran in for a try which Barry Keeshan converted to give Munster a 26 – 15 win.
