Both Abbeyfeale and Fermoy are promoted from the Third Division of the Heineken Munster Junior League, while both Ballincollig and Douglas are relegated from the Second Division. Cork Constitution lost their unbeaten run, when Buccaneers defeated them 22-10 at Temple Hill. Shannon slipped up at home to Ballymena losing 37-27.

Dolphin were surprisingly beaten at home by bottom side Galwegians 20-3 and are now in danger of a quick return to the Second Division. Second Division leaders U.L. Bohemian lost their top spot after being held to a 20-20 draw by U.C.C. at Thomond Park. Sundays Well s chances of staying in the Second Division were dealt a cruel blow at Rosbrien, when an injury time converted try saw them lose to Old Crescent 29-28.

Young Munster slipped to another local derby defeat, after Thomond defeated them 21-3. Struggling Midleton and Waterpark played out a 9-9 draw at the Towns Park as they widened the gap between them and bottom side Sunday s Well. Highfield won the Cork Third Division derby, when they defeated Clonakilty 13-10 to keep their promotion hopes alive.

Kilfeacle and Bruff picked up maximum points from their games against the two bottom sides in Division One of the Heineken Munster Junior League to maintain their quest for the league title. Kilfeacle had to rely on a late try against St. Mary s to secure a bonus point and victory on a 26-21 score line. Bruff scored eight tries in their 48-7 home win over Richmond. Nenagh Ormond remain in third place after their 26-21 victory over Clanwilliam.

Youghal eased their relegation worries with a 26-24 win at home to Crosshaven. St. Senan s are now third last, seven points ahead of Richmond after their 34-0 defeat by Clonmel. Cobh Pirates got the better of Old Christians with an injury time try for a 28-21 win. Tralee remain on top of the Second Division after their 59-17 away win over Ballincollig, a result that sends the Cork side into the Third Division next season.

Skibbereen won the big top of the table clash with a 26-10 home win over Thurles. Cashel stay in second place after their hard earned 25-21 home win over Charleville. Douglas were also relegated for the first time in the club s history, after Waterford City defeated them 15-7. Ennis made sure of their Second Division status with a 17-13 win away to Kanturk and Castleisland continued their recent good run with a 21-8 victory away to Muskerry.

A late try preserved Abbeyfeale s unbeaten record, as they shared the spoils with Newcastle West 18-18 and this result was good enough to send them into the Second Division next season. Joining them will be Fermoy who ran in twelve tries in their 74-10 win over Dungarvan. St. Munchin s are through to the Coca Cola Schools Senior Cup Final after their 8-0 win over Crescent in the semi-final played under lights at Thomond Park.

Kilfeacle and Sunday s Well will contest the Munster Under 18 League Final. Kilfeacle defeated Castleisland 20-0, while the Well accounted for Thomond 13-0. Clonakilty defeated Nenagh Ormond 30-15 to book their place in the Under 16 Final against Tralee.
