Munster Heineken Squad 2005/2006

Former great Britain Rugby League star Gary Connolly and Springboks Sevens International Anthon Pitout have been included in Munster’s Heineken Cup squad ahead of the registration deadline.

Former great Britain Rugby League star Gary Connolly and Springboks Sevens International Anthon Pitout have been included in Munster’s Heineken Cup squad ahead of the September 29th registration deadline.

Connolly (34) has plied his trade most recently with Widnes Vilings and before that with Leeds Rhinos. He had a season of Union with Harlequins and has been capped 30 times at Rugby League with Great Britain, three times with England and once with Ireland.

Centre/wing, Pitout’s (28) most recent appearance was a fortnight ago with The Cheetahs in South Africa’s Currie Cup. This season he was in the Cats Super 12 side and prior to that played Super 12 with the Blue Bulls. he has been a member of the Sprinboks Sevens squad for the past four seasons.
