Munster Women Defeated at Musgrave Park
22nd October 2005 By Munster Rugby
Munster women were defeated 12-5 at Musgrave Park. A late try from scrum half Tania Rosser gave Leinster the edge in the interprovincial clash
Munster were beaten for the first time in this competition in four seasons, as they lost out to Leinster in their first ever appearance at Musgrave Park.
Leinster and Ireland scrum-half Tania Rosser scored a try in each half to seal the win, and Jackie Shiels added the extras. Jean Lonergan scored Munster’s only try. The two sides are however still expected to meet again in this year’s final, with both having only one game left each.
Ulster beat Connacht 14-0 with substitute winger, Christine Robb, grabbing a brace after coming on early in the first half. Rachel Reid converted both.
